Mach #61 – Dum Dum Diday August 8, 2009

Which is an awesome song by Renard, for your information. So making this a mini Claw Marks, I’m linking you to the MP3 for download, so here:

[ link ]

Anyway, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, right? Yeah, it has. I’ve looked in the recent drafts folder and found two rants in the works for both Reb and Ren, so anticipating when they’re gonna post it up as well. Honestly, I just don’t think I’ve had a lot to say lately. Haven’t really been beating any games, no real motivation to play anything at home, and since it’s Summer and I have that freedom, I’ve just been going out a lot. What makes it worse, I usually go out and just play video games with my friends, usually consisting of going to the arcade for a designated amount of time and then just playing In The Groove 2 at the arcade I work at. Ugh, I live a boring life.

Not meaning to take away content from Ren’s post or anything, but I couldn’t help but read ahead and see that she was planning to attend the New York Anime Festival. No, Ska never told me, but I believe Minty is going to that as well… I might call off that day to go and meet up with him, but sadly, I don’t plan to attend. Mainly because I heard from another friend that it’s basically an anime convention without all the frills of the typical anime convention. I’m not really interested, unfortunately.

What’s new though? Finally got a capture card the other week, so my days of ghetto streaming are now and forever done! Well, at least until I go to the 8 on the Break and stream there, but streaming has been going fairly well on my part without many problems as well. I’m currently streaming Tales of Vesperia since that’s deserving a long overdue anyway.

What other horrible thing do I have planned for my stream? Sadly, Sonic ‘06. Yes, I’m quite aware of how bad this game is, but hell, I’ve sadly had Dreams of an Absolution stuck in my head these past few days and it’s contributing to the fact that I wanna see how bad this game REALLY is. Just gotta pick up a copy first and kill off the rest of my dignity in the process.

Work has been more or less blah so far. My schedule got changed, so I’m now working Fridays and Saturdays from 5-11, and Sundays 11-7. :|

There goes my social life.

As of now, I’m playing a bit of Final Fantasy V on GBA for the Final Fantasy Marathon. I’m liking this one quite a bit due to the job classes and stuff. It makes the game pretty interesting. I’ve beaten Final Fantasy I, so I could officially say I’ve beaten a Final Fantasy game now. Hopefully, I ‘ll get through this one swimmingly as well, but we’ll see what happens.

Apologies for this rant being all over the place. It’s what I get for typing up something at 5 in the morning. Damn you, sleep pattern. Damn you.

Until then, later~

Here, have some music while you wait for Arc to introduce the new theme. As for me, I just needed an excuse to actually use Sol in a post.

So, yeah, PKMN. It’s another Renard track, but done under his Kitsune² alias. Kitsune² specializes in chiptunes, so I’m sure a lot of people would enjoy this track. This comes off of the Squaredance album.

Simply put, this track is made almost completely with Pokemon growls. Yes, Pokemon growls. It’s actually pretty cool how this one comes together in the end and stuff. Pretty awesome stuff. I’ve been making a stepfile out of this, but it’s taking me forever. So many bouncing gimmicks. ;__;

I’ve actually taken a particular liking to this album. A lot of kick ass chiptune tracks on this one.

Enjoy it.

Claw Marks #8 – Homosexual Love Scene (Hands Up [Your Shirt] Remix) and Wahoo! March 20, 2009

Whoo. Long title is long, huh?

It was weird seeing no one update for a week, and I’ll probably have a big update coming this Sunday or Monday regarding Pokemon Platinum progress and crap. So, in the meantime, here’s some music.

Yeah, it’s another Renard Klippa upload, but I’ve seem to take a liking to both songs. I kinda got the idea for this claw marks after seeing Kilometers/Miles’ backloggery page with all the Klonoa stuff. So what does these two songs have to do with Klonoa?

The “Wahoo!” sound, of course.

Homosexual Love Scene (Hands Up [Your Shirt] Remix) was a track originally developed by Benn Jordan, who some of you might know as The Flashbulb. According to Renard’s description, “…dunno if he ever actually released Homosexual Love Scene on any discs or if it was just demo / thing he tossed around as part of his volumes of ‘miscellaneous shit’ as he calls it.”

Listen to it. The song is actually pretty catchy.

Wahoo! consists mostly of Klonoa “Wahoo”ing throughout most of the song… It’s happy, it’s poppy. Enjoy it.

No fancy picture, here’s a download link:

Claw Marks #7 – TAP de Papapaya March 5, 2009

No, this is not my idea of a productive article, but rather just a filler until I could think up for something… Or until Reb decides to onslaught the page with a shitload of text (You crazy bastard).

Anyway, this song? You ever see the Let’s Tap! trailer? This is the song. Upbeat, perky, and absolutely wonderful to listen to. So is the rest of the soundtrack.

I’m honestly excited for this game thoguh, probably the quirkiest game I’ve seen Sega release in a while. Japan already has it, but it sucks that we’re not gonna get this until this Summer. Makes me a sad panda. :(

Anyway, despite what you’ve seen on Youtube about the actual length of this song (if you’ve even bothered looking), most of them just ripped it off the website when they had it looping there.

Whatever though, enjoy!

Claw Marks #6 – Mambo Gallego (D-Code Mix) February 10, 2009

Well, there’s a rant from me coming later, but I hate the lack of updates for about four days, so to cover ground, have some music from me. I promised to have a track that isn’t from Renard, so here it is.

I’m sure the moment you hear this song, you’ll recognize it. In The Groove players know this song simply as D-Code. Others might know this song as the Adult Swim Theme Song from back in the day. That little Spanish tune of a song producing so much funk.

What’s there to say about this song? I absolutely love this song. There aren’t enough words for me to describe it. You could pretty much find me dancing to this song almost all the damn time. Just give the song a download. I’m sure you’ll like it just as much as I do.

I need an excuse to waste space, so for those of you who still don’t recognize it, or still don’t know what the hell this song is, here’s a video for you to watch. Footage from a tournament that was held at the arcade I main at the other week (same week I lost my credit card :( )

Now go and download the track!

Here. Have some music.

This is a Pendulum song I’ve taken a liking to as of recently. If you haven’t seen or heard Propane Nightmares, listen to this first:

Then give this Claw Marks entry a download. Yeah, it’s another track from Renard, but I promise I’ll get a track that isn’t his up next. I swear. Basically, he made a chiptune remix to this song. It’s pretty fucking awesome. Give it a listen, I’m pretty sure you’ll like it. Everyone likes chiptunes…

Everyone…

This just describes my day perfectly. It just so happens to describe that week I got grounded as well. The outlook is bleak for me. I think I’ll be able to pass, but just not with a grade that will denote me to actually not have to take my Persuasive Writing class. Ugh… It’s just an odd semester… I guess this is where the reality of college starts to kick in. ;_;

It’s just one of those days…

Another Renard song. Artist alias used for this one is The Quick Brown Fox. This alias specializes in Speedcore. Bonus points to those who can identify who did the original version of this.

I’ll update this one a little more later… It’s off one of his albums and I just don’t have time for that right now.

Done with updates, like usual. See you next week~

Claw Marks #3 – Dr. Wily… Dr. Wily… And… December 9, 2008

… The World In Your Hands.

Thought the last title would be called Dr. Wily again, huh? Well, in common relation, this Claw Marks is full of remixes for MegaMan 2’s Dr. Wily’s theme.

First one: Dr. Wily by SamplingMasters MEGA

An awesome remix of the song that I first heard playing Mungyodance 3. Later playing it on an In The Groove 2 machine, I realized how hard of a stepfile it is. Fucking speed ups.

Next: Dr. Wily (Trance Remix) by Fredrick Miller

Another artist who also releases albums off Renard’s VULPvibe Records. Specializing in Trance music, he brings the popular theme song into a different light.

Here’s his current FurAffinity account: Here
Here’s his old account here most of his music can be found: Here

Finally: The World In Your Hands by Renard

Who didn’t see that one coming? Yep, another song by that guy. I’ll just say about this one. It’s pretty different than the other remixes. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this one as much as I did. Definite favorite of mine.

Claw Marks #2 – McCloud November 30, 2008

Welcome to another Claw Marks segment. I bring you the second one continuing the Star Fox chain that Renard has made with his music. This one was actually the first in his Star Fox series, I Prefer the Sky actually being the most recent one. The other two will actually appear in the next update.

Now, McCloud is obviously based off of the character Fox McCloud. Under the alias of Jaql, he made another awesome drum’n'bass track. According to him, there’s a reference to Corneria’s theme as well.

Enjoy the track, people. It’s another one of my personal favorites. Expect another Claw Marks some time this week.

On a starting note, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. May your bellies be full and your heart full of happiness and sunshine.

Now here’s my music segment. Like Dan has Miror B. I have Claw Marks. It’s a playful pun on what happens to CDs when you don’t take care of them. Horrible, I know, but it’s my category name. Stop arguing with me. Shut up.

Anyway, a personal favorite track of mine from Renard, under the alias of D-Code-D, he produced an awesome drum’n'bass track about one of the best characters from Star Fox, Falco Lombardi. This track is also featured in Renard’s freeware 4-panel game, Mungyodance 3. Check it out.

This track is featured on Renard’s Sensorium album. There will be a couple of other tracks I’ll be uploading from there as well since I love that album so god damn much. You can find more of his works as well as some other artists who belong to his record label at VULPvibe.

I’ll be posting several more singles along the way, so check em’ out when you get the chance.

Later~
