Len #26 – Such a misfortune.. oh wells, I got me a PEE-ESS-TREE. June 25, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.7 comments
Curse my laziness. It holds me back from playing games and updating. I now lack excuses, unfortunately. I barely watch enough anime to pull what Arc does each week.
Listen well, folks. Lack of motivation gets you no where in life. I quit my job. Why, you ask? I basically just had enough. Every person who has heard this so far has called me an idiot and whatever else, but shit, it’s my life. I don’t care. I’m going back to college to major in English and Education. DO YOU SEE WHERE I’M GOING WITH THIS?
Eeeh. I need to be passionate about something and so far, that’s where my admiration and interests direct me towards. Good luck, Tenksy-pie.
Anyway, my birthday was last week Tuesday, the 16th. I’m 24 now, yay. Yesterday, I took a visit to the beautiful Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island and blew $240 on clothes. From Hot Topic, Spencer’s, Hollister, and American Eagle. OH MY. Who said AAR shirts weren’t sexy?
After that, I went back to Queens and got myself a PlayStation 3. Oh yay. Honestly, I don’t even know WHY I got it, I just felt the need to have one. The fact that Tales of Vesperia is coming out for the PS3 with loads more content really grinded my gears(HAVE YOU SEEN THE ABYSS COSTUMES FOR YURI, ESTELLE, AND FLYNN. Oh myyy.) and not only that, fighters feel so much better on the PS3 controller than the 360’s. I really hate the 360’s controller. Love the PS3’s. It’s the PS2’s.. only lighter and wireless. Rechargeable, too. What more could I ask for? And I don’t care what people say, I think the six-axis feature is fucking sexy.
But still.. if I had to choose getting a multi-platform game.. I’d probably purchase it on the 360. Unless it was somehow out of stock and the PS3 had it. Unless it was a fighter, I need my fighters to be on the PS3. LOVE-LOVE the controller, afterall. Hah, I’m going to GameStop on Friday to reserve a copy of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger.. Limited Edition. BY THE CREATORS OF GUILTY GEAR, MY MOST FAVORITEST FIGHTING GAME IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!? FUCK YEAH!
So it lacks characters, I don’t care. It looks beautiful, honestly. And damn, I can’t wait for it. I’m definitely getting BlazBlue for the PS3.
Anyway, I’ll still purchase games for my 360 <3.. probably for achievements or something. I don’t really care about trophies.
Speaking of which, Heavenly Sword seems to lack them. I actually borrowed it from my friend, considering I have a tighter budget now.. so I really didn’t purchase a game with my PS3. And I already blew about $700 on shit yesterday, so I didn’t bother to get one. My first game purchase for the PS3 will be BlazBlue.
Oh, before I forget, I got the 80 GB Ps3. It’s not backwards compatible, apparently. And if that’s the case, why the hell do they still leave that “Internal Memory Card” crap there? I mean, it’s not like I can play my PS2 games on it, so what’s the sense of it even existing on my console? Sheesh, seeing it there makes me wish I bought a BC console a year(?) or so back. Oh well, I always have my modded PS2.
Anyway, Heavenly Sword felt pretty lame at first.. but then I got hooked. It’s basically a button masher.. kind of similar to God of War when you’re playing as Nariko, the red-head main character. But when you’re playing as Kai.. it’s a whole different ball game. You can shoot arrows with her.. that’s it. But when you shoot them, you can engage in a movement called the “Aftertouch” which lets you control the direction your arrow is going. It zooms in on it and it goes in slow(but not too slow) motion. You control the direction it goes by holding onto L1 and Square and moving around your controller with the six-axis feature. God, I loved it. I failed a few times with this one mission, but it was really fun for me.
As for normal gameplay, it’s a plus. Nothing I get bored of easily, and I heard the game was quite short, so I’ll probably be occupied for a little while longer. After that, dunno what I’m gonna do with my shiny, new PS3.
Wait for BlazBlue, I suppose. <3
Hmm, in other gaman’ news.. I finally got a certain character back in Chrono Trigger, so I can basically fight Lavos now.. I tried, I died. Time to grind in the Black Omen, m i rite? ![]()
Star Ocean beckons me, but god, I don’t have the patience for it. I have no idea why.
Final Fantasy VII is sitting there.. in my PSOne.. waiting to be turned on again.
Anyway, I’m bored. And still awake. I have to wake up in 4 hours to go to my friend’s house and marathon “scary” movies. Buh-bye.

Len #25 – Bring on the new era. May 27, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.2 comments
Yeah, sizing it down is better.
Anyway, welcome to the official version 3 of Disc Read Error: Insert Disc 2. I must say, this has become bigger than I first imagined it would be. A big thanks to Linkman for helping us out with the theme! Arranging the layout and colors and such. And Arc, too!~ Mah bro’s got some good taste.
Anyway, I just came back from a party, so I’m tired as hell. It was really fun, although I got really tired towards the end.. and.. confused. o_o
Maybe I should have let Arc handle introducing the new theme because I’m TIRED and don’t have much to say. Urghghg.
I still have to beat Chrono Trigger.
This is not much of a rant, someone PUSH IT DOWN. I’m going to attach a video and lay down, I’M TIIIRED.
I can’t wait to leave.

Len #24 – She broke me and yet I’m feeling so refreshed. May 23, 2009

EDIT – TO RANTERS/STAFF: THERE’S A NEW PAGE UP, IT’S PRIVATE. IT’S CALLED “STAFF BOARD” WHERE WE POST MESSAGES AND WHATEVER IF WE CAN’T CATCH EACH OTHER. MACH, TAKE A LOOK AT IT.
And so ends my 5 months of misery. Thanks a lot, babe.
AN~Y~WAY. I got lots of gaming news, but at the same time, not really. I’m so pumped up on a Red Bull right now, I just don’t feeling like sleeping on this dazzling Saturday night. Especially with those stupid loud ass Guyanese people screaming next door. What a fun little neighborhood I live in.
I need to get some new headphones. I always fucking destroy them, I don’t know WHY or how. I need to learn how to take care of my shit, JESUS. And I threw my awesome chain somewhere, but I have no idea where.
I have to give it to my best friend before the summer.
I just bought these cheap ass 2 dollar headphones today, it’s funny, because my girlfriend is supposed to give me a pair and my old friend has also purchased some really good ones for me. Oh well, whatever. I’ll probably destroy these in 2 weeks, anyway. Over the past 12 months, I’ve probably destroyed about 10-15 headphones, respectively. Good times.
Anyway, gaming news time. Well, yesterday my girlfriend bought me Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Whatever vs. Some King Fag. The special edition with the Jack Frost doll dressed up as Raidou. It’s cute. Unfortunately, I’m dumping her on Wednesday. So oh well. I haven’t started it yet. In fact I’m currently torrenting Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Whatever vs. The Souless Army on my desktop computer. I feel the need to play the first one before actually commencing with the 2nd one.
MAI BEE-EFF-EFF Adam Golden gave me his much dusty and unused PlayStation Portable a few weeks ago. The firmware version was 2.60, so it was quite easy to “mod”. My firmware is now 5.00m33-6. Good shit. I decided not to go too game-crazy with it like I did when I “modded” my PS2 and just burned a shitload of games that I haven’t even touched yet. I downloaded about 6 games for it, which were Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII undubbed, Star Ocean: The First Departure, Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Patapon, and Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2.
So far, I’ve beaten: Crisis Core and just today(well, yesterday) TotW:RM. I haven’t progressed much in SO just yet, I’m just about 2 hours in and as for VP:L, well.. it’s quite confusing. I don’t know, I just don’t quite understand the battle mechanism and such. It seems complicated, but I’m probably overspeculating its difficulty level. It’s the same as the PSOne version which I briefly started and progressed in in August. It was a time killer for Tales of Vesperia, but I never got back to it. I downloaded Patapon in hopes to enjoy it, but it immediately turned me off, however; quite the opposite for my best friend whom actually enjoyed it. So I’ll just keep it on there for her, whenever she’s around me when I’ve got my PSP. As for TotW:RM2… it’s in complete Japanese. And I don’t feel like playing it RIGHT after I beat the first one which was extremely tedious. I’ll play it whenever Namdai in America feels damned to bring it over to the states. Until then, it’s off the PSP and on the desktop computer where it will rot.
I’ll talk about TotW:RM in my next ASintoT post. I’ll probably write it soon.. or maybe not.
Anyway, CRISIS CORE. It exceeded my expectations. I really, really enjoyed it. It reversed my hate for Final Fantasy VII and Aerith. Aerith is so adorable, I don’t know why I hated her, anyway. I don’t like Tifa anymore, though.. quite the opposite, actually. And Zack is just a BADASS. The ending made me shed manly tears, though. Lots and lots of manly tears. Twice. I watched it on YouTube again. >_>
The battle system can get tedious sometimes, but it’s fun. I love how they made it.. real-time, finally.. and everything else. I don’t have much to say on it, just that I enjoyed it. We finally learn the story of how our emo hero Cloud gets his big ass sword. IT’S FROM ZACK. If you’ve ever played FFVII or seen Advent Children then you pretty much know what happens to our dear hero, Zack. He’s by far my favorite FF character now, though. Sorry, Squall.
Beating Crisis Core beckoned me to start Final Fantasy VII again and this time, actually play it. So far, I’ve gotten like an hour into it. Meh, I’ll play more when I feel bothered enough to get up and turn on my PSOne. That’s why it’s awesome to have 2 portables right next to you.
I’ve got a summer gaming list set.. I hope I get to them all. OH BY THE WAY, WILLING TO TRADE GRAND THEFT AUTO IV BECAUSE I HATE IT. Take a look at my backlog notes if you want it.
Anyway, summer gaming list:
[Hopeful Summer Starts/Progressions]
>Tales of Rebirth
>Tales of Destiny (PS)
>Skies of Arcadia Legends
>Resident Evil 4
>The Legend of Dragoon
>Star Ocean: The Second Story
>.hack//Infection
>Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII
>Final Fantasy X International
>God of War
>Grandia III
>GrimGrimoire
>Kingdom Hearts 2
>Rogue Galaxy
>Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked
>Shadow Hearts
>Wild ARMs 5
>Ys: The Ark of Napishtim
>Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
>Secret of Mana
>Final Fantasy IX
I will most likely not get to these, but I at least hope to get far in some and actually beat them. I STILL have to beat Chrono Trigger but I’m so LAZY. I have to get a certain important character back.
Not much else to say, I’m quite bored now. I can’t wait for Tales of VS.. they better bring some Legendia characters in it, god damn it.
Senel would make an awesome add for that game. OR NORMA WITH HER STRAW. Or Jay, he’d make an interesting add. But they could easily add Farah and ignore Senel.. that’d still be awesome though, because Farah > Senel. I just hope to see some Legendia in there.. stop with the neglecting, Namdai.
So yeah, that’s it. Happy gaming, fags.

Len #23 – Spring sucks ass. April 29, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.3 comments
God damn allergies. This is why I despise Spring. Sure, some nice anime start airing, but how am I supposed to watch them with fucked up eyes?
Today was quite a splendid day – minus the allergies, perhaps I’m feeling lucky. I hope this feeling is right and I hope things end up good. And if it does, I’m going all-out.
Anyway, posting streak much? Haven’t seen anyone else post lately.
This won’t be a long post, just a slight gaming update. I can’t say I haven’t had the time to play games.. I’m just lazy.
Well, I got the PlayStation 2 version of Dynasty Warriors 6. It’s pretty much a downgraded/updated version of the 360/PS3 versions. They downgrade the graphics and other things, however; they added story modes for a few more characters and gave them new weapons and movesets.
I only got it for Ling Tong. Because I missed his nunchaku from Dynasty Warriors 5. It’s not exactly there, considering he now has a three section staff or a sanjiegun. It’s movement is quite similar to his previous nunchaku. But nothing will beat that. Not ever. His moveset in DW5 was epic.
The loading times are simply horrible, they tear up my heart. I just can’t stand them. ESPECIALLY with 2-players, Jesus Christ. So yeah, after beating one story mode, I pretty much concluded playing the PS2 version.
I also started Ratchet and Clank because I heard it was similar to Jak and Daxter. There are a shitload of R&C games, jeez. It’s nice, but not something I would go crazy over. >_>
Moar later.

Len #22 – What the god damn shizzle. April 26, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.13 comments
You guys can bump this down any time you want.
Anyway. GOD DAMN IT. WHAT THE GOD DAMN-
WHY AM I SUCH A LATECOMER?!?
This isn’t random, god damn it. Well – it kinda is.
Suddenly, the GBA is blowing my mind. I need to get so many copies of games. SO MANY. I have the ugly ass, old ass Supercard that works with SuperKey and the miniSDs, so yeah. I don’t like the way you save games on that shit. It never works for me. Maybe I’m just doing it wrong. But anyway, so many GBA games I wanna get. But I have to eBay them/dig them up in stores, etc. They’re like $15 a piece or some shit.
- Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
- Golden Sun
- The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords
- Final Fantasy VI
- Fire Emblem
- Sword of Mana
- Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
Any more that I should be adding? LIST SOME. COME ON.
Also, Mach is planning to get me Wild ARMs Alter Code F since I can’t find it in any of the Gamestops or stores around Queens. I even checked some stores in Manhattan.
THANKS, MACH. ILY.
I started playing Ratchet and Clank. It’s not too bad so far. It reminds me of Jak and Daxter.
AND FUCKING FUCK, I need to get an actual copy of Persona 4 because burning it 6 times has fucking failed me. Fuck it.

Len #21 – And he won’t stop chasing her.. April 22, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.9 comments
Because he’s such a fool. So nonchalantly annoying.
Just about a month or two until I get transfered to a different branch within my company.
It pays less, but hell, I’m going into a career that I want.
Anywho, not too much to rant about at the moment.
For starters, I beat Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES after about 4-5 months. Of course I took rather long spurs of hiatus here and there. I wanted to finish it so badly before Monday hit, so on Saturday, I decided to play it. I thought, “Hell, I can’t be that far from the end now, can I?”
I wasn’t wrong, but shit, I wasn’t right either. I managed to pull a 15-hour marathon to beat that game. The thing was, my party was fine up until the fated boss, “???”. He’s supposed to be easy. HE’S SUPPOSED TO BE. Yet I got my ass kicked SO many times that I was just FILLED with rage, my god. I NEEDED Yukari on my team. Despite how much I didn’t WANT her on my team, I NEEDED her to be the healer.
So I had to basically grind Yukari from levels 41 to 74. It took about 2-3 hours. Fun shit. After that boring grinding fest, I rounded up some Persona and went back to fight the dreaded “???”. I only brought Yukari and Metis with me, though, because when I bring Mitsuru, that bitching boss always changes to her Persona and then kills me so hard with her god damn Mind Charge. Urgh.
Anyway, after that, it wasn’t exactly a breeze, but it was interesting. Yukari was a major BITCH in the Answer, I can say that much. I personally thought the ending was stupid. I enjoyed the Journey so much more.
But I’m glad I didn’t give up on the game.
After that – I burned Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, yay! It’s kind of a laggy-glitchy-ish disc, so I’m going to reburn it sometime on MAX speed. I simply started it, I have to say, the concept is quite intruging so far. MURDER MYSTERY IN THE COUNTRY. Sounds fun.
Chie’s voice is biting at my anus, atm, though.
WHAT ELSE.
How ’bout that Chrono Trigger, eh? I managed to get Magus on my team, yay. Got the doppledoll, so time to bring back you-know-who! Gotta go to the Black Omen. Meh.
There’s this game drifting in my head. It’s just yearning to be played. I can’t quite name it, though.
I WANT A PS3 FOR NU.VESPERIA~.
The movie looks so sexy.

Len #20 – He’s lost faith in me! April 16, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.15 comments
Oh noesz! Sorry, somewhere along the line, I simply lost motivation, I suppose. Even though I made that vow! Oh well. Let’s not talk about life. It’s hot n’ cold like Katy Perry. c wut I did thar? But seriously. Anyway, gaming updates. Let’s gogogo.
Like Chao said, gaming-wise, I’ve got a lot to rant about. I’ve been such an ass to him lately. :[ Sorry, hun.
Well, recently this week, I’ve been marathoning Halo 3.. much to my own surprise. I’m not as terrible as I thought I was.
I finished the campaign on Normal and Heroic with friends. The only reason I finished it in the first place was because it’s just too damn boring to do by myself. Plus, I don’t even understand the story.
It’s funny, considering I hate FPS in general. But it made me appreciate the Halo series a lot more, hah.
Prior to that. Actually – months prior to that, I was struck with the devstating RROD. However, that happened in mid-February. I sent my 360 in about a month later. The process is a lot easier than I thought it would be. First, I filed a repair report on the Microsoft site and printed out my shipping label, then I stripped my 360 of its HD and any extra crap I had loaded on it, then I went to UPS and paid about 11 dollars for them to pack it and ship it. I gave them the label, paid, got my receipt and I was done. It was sent on the 17th of March and I got it back on the 30th. Not too bad.
Anyway – prior to my Halo marathon, my friend let me borrow his copy of Resident Evil 5. I must say, I was easily addicted. At first, I thought I wouldn’t bother with it, but one day I was just so bored so I decided to pop it in.
I don’t regret my actions, heh. It was amazing. It felt a lot easier than RE4, but it had its own challenges. But it was really a lot easier. The story had me kind of confused, considering I’m quite the noob to the Resident Evil series, but I eventually caught on. It was really great. Chris was such a sexy beast.
I loved the co-oping presented in the game, as well. And personally, I don’t hate the “stand still and shoot” concept at all. It was fun.
Oh, and I loved the active cutscenes. How you had to mash certain buttons at precise times during the cutscenes to avoid attacks and such.
Of course, nothing beats the major LOL I got from “HELP – LT+RT”.
Wesker was such a sexy beast.
Anyway, after having orgasms from playing Resident Evil 5, I decided to go back and start the series from RE1. I would have started up RE4 again, but my friend borrowed my GameCube memory card. :[
I’ve played Resident Evil for about an hour.
I know these were the “original” controls that “made” the series, so to speak.. but I can’t stand them. “I DIDN’T TELL YOU TO GO THAT WAY, JILL!”
And I know this game is old, but jumping from 360 graphics to PsOne graphics is really horrendous for my eyes. I might purchase Resident Evil REmake for the GameCube. It looks more promising than this one feels.
Let’s see – I played and beat Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I honestly found the SSE or the “story” mode tedious and boring. The final boss was haaard. Meta Knight was my savior.
I HAAAATED how they stripped Mario of his awesome cape spin attack thingy and replaced it with his stupid spray shit from Super Mario Sunshine. IT’S SO USELESS.
My favorite characters to play as, in order: Samus, Pit, Luigi, Meta Knight, Kirby. I hate playing as Link now, I don’t know why. Maybe he lost his glimmer. But I would certainly love to kidnap Toon Link. <3 Can’t wait for that new Zelda game.
Lol, what else? OH. Castlevania Double Pack. I’m loving Aria of Sorrow so far. I’m already lost in Harmony of Dissonance. Yeah.
I still haven’t beaten the Answer in P3:FES yet. God, it’s so tedious.
Oh, Chrono Trigger for the DS. Lovin’ it, but I can’t play it for more than an hour. I get really bored. But short spurs are the best, m i rite?
Teehee. I might play some P3:FES tonight, if I’m bored enough.
That’s it for now.
Cya soon – probably.

Len #19 – In need of the people’s help! January 27, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.11 comments
Hay thar peoplesz. It’s Len, whom you all deemed a sexy beast.
Dan loves me. So does Reb. ^_______^
Anyway, as the title states, I am in desperate need of the people’s help. You see, there are plenty of games I wish to get, but I’m always limiting myself to one. I’m switching jobs this June and so everyone will bid farewell to richman Mr. Caistle. That’s why I’ve been putting most of my cash in the bank for a number of years now.
But anyways.
There are too many games I wish to get. >_>
- Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (DS) – It freezes on my flashcard.
- Wild ARMs Alter Code F (PS2) - Unfortunately, I can’t burn it because it’s dual-layered. I’d have to order it online if I wanted it, though.
- Left4Dead (360) – I suck HAAAARD at shooting oriented stuff, but still, the demo was so damn fun.
- Infinite Undiscovery (360) - I’ll be looking for this “Used”.. I heard it was terrible.
- Guilty Gear 2: Overture (360) - I have no idea whether they changed it for the good or the bad.. but I still crave it. Might get this “Used” as well.
- Chrono Trigger (DS) - My flashcard sucks.
- Fallout 3 (360) - Worth the hype?
- Fable II (360) – Even though the predecessor is still laying there.
And that’s about it for now. My cousin recently purchase The Last Remnant, so I don’t have to go out of my way to get it.

Len #18 – NO RIG FOR U. January 15, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants.6 comments
THAT’S RIGHT, YOU WON’T BE GETTING ONE. YOUR FUTILE ATTEMPTS WON’T MAKE ME BUDGE, MACH.
Anyways, since you are all disappointed and probably won’t read this, I’ll rant about life. Dan and Mach like ranting about their life on the blog, guess I’ll do my share too. WELL, last week I got dumped. It sucked. I’m over that, but our friendship is so shitty now. And it sucks. Because we were like best friends. Yeah. I feel like I’m in freaking high school.
OH WELL, I managed to complete like all of my last minute paperwork, so I’m satisfied at the moment. I still have more to do, it sucks. On Saturday I’m going to hang with friends and then do some dumb recycling thing my cousin made me volunteer for. >_> Yeah. I might also be taking up an evening shift in work. I don’t know yet.
As for gaming:
I packed quite a few hours into Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES during the past few weeks. I’m about 30 hours in now. I just passed the third full moon stage. Whoo at the Yukari shower scene~ Actually, I found one part of it like.. really, really DUMB. She was embarrased shitless after coming out with a towel and blushes like a generic anime girl. BUT INSTEAD OF RUNNING BACK, SHE RUNS UP TO THE MAIN CHARACTER AND SLAPS HIM AND THEN RUNS BACK INTO THE BATHROOM.
Like jeez. Oh well. But that’s our Yuka-tan. Hardcore. Since I’m already in July, I should be able to establish the Lovers S-Link soon with Yukari(? I think?). I maxed out my charm. But tests are coming up soon, so I have to sharpen up on Len-kun’s academics.
OH, I checked out the third block in Tartarus. Let me tell you, enemy ambush = instant death. My conclusion = TIEM TO GRIND, GRIND, GRIND. Hopefully, I’ll be able to pack in a good number of hours tomorrow and Sunday. And hopefully some on Saturday, too.
Either way, the main reason that I’m making this post is to reveal(if you don’t already know, that is) that there is an upcoming FULL translation for Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut. I actually meant to deliver this news like.. waaaay last week. But life got in the way with it’s dumb bullshit. So yeah.
If you have played the proper, translated patch of Tales of Phantasia for the PSOne, then you may know about the translator peoplez. Zettai Zero. They’re also the peoplez doing the Tales of Innocence translation patch which has currently been in-progress since the summer. They’re working with Phantasian Productions who has been working on a ToP Patch and a Tales of Destiny 2 translation, as well.
Apparently, this project has been on the low down for a few months. That means there must be some good progress. Check out the two sites for details: Zettai Zero | Phantasia Productions
Yah, these guys are awesome.
Ummm, video 4 u?

Len #17 – “We’re all trapped in a maze of relationships… January 3, 2009
Posted by Ren in Len's Rants, Ren.12 comments
…THAT GOES ON, WITH OR WITHOUT YOU.”
That’s right, delicious ones. A new year, a new theme. I’M A GUY NOW, HAR HAR. Bai, Rita.
If you miss her, she’s my current backlog theme, which is KA-WA-II. TEEHEE. Rita is so adorable. I would lock her up and keep her forever. NO PEDO INTENTIONS.
Yousuke is a sexy beast, isn’t he? He’s from Persona 4. I’m speaking out of my ass, though, considering I haven’t even touched it yet. Well, technically, I have. But I haven’t actually played my own copy. STILL, IT’S ITCHING ME. But I’m not going to give in. BECAUSE I’VE STARTED PERSONA 3!
That’s right. I’ve finally started Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES after months and months of whining from both Mach and Reb, as well as occasional persuaders on the BL. I really hope it’s worth it. I’m about 2 and a half hours in and so far, I see no appeal. And after watching my cousin play 4.. I really just want to skip to that. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, I DON’T. By the time I’m through with P3:FES, Persona 5 will probably be out.
Persona 3 hasn’t exactly made me rage yet.. but it’s getting there. I recently got Game Over.. so I stopped playing. STUPID MAIN CHARACTER, why does the game have to be over when YOU go unconscious? IS AKIHIKO NOT IMPORTANT? WHAT ABOUT YUKARI? ..JUNPEI? You wuss. YOU WUSS.
I was in the dreadful Tartarus… and.. it happened. I jumped from the 1st block, went to the 2nd.. went from floors 14-21 and then one of those steel bastards knocked a hard one straight in the MC’s face. My MC’s name is Len Tsuki. C WUT I DID THAR?
But anyways, stupid move, I suppose. I haven’t really been grinding, I guess. o_o If that matters so early on. I’m tempted to just run through floors 14 to 24 and then get to the terminal. And then just grind from there. Or something.
I haven’t fused one persona yet. Ain’t I just amazing? >_> I should really get to that. It was the last day of midterms for me. Luls. I was pedoing on that kid at the shrine so my S-Link would increase.
But yeah, only about 9 hours in. I’ll play more tomorrow.. or later, perhaps.
On another note, I’ve recently started playing Skies of Arcadia Legends for the GameCube. On the Wii, though. Thought I’d make some use out of the console while I still have it. I’m still going to propose buying it from my cousin, however. I doubt he’d really go with it, though. I guess he just likes staring at the consoles he never plays. >__>
Skies of Arcadia was considered one of the best RPGs for the DreamCast(well DUUURR).. but so was Grandia and Grandia 2, so I really can’t trust that reception, now can I? Nope.
But… Skies isn’t that bad. It’s actually pretty amusing. After I was finished with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.. I needed something to play. So I picked up Skies. I’ve had it for a long ass time and I never even started it.
Let me start off by saying that Vyse is a SEXY BEAST. So hot. But yeah. The battle system is alright, nothing special. You can swap weapon elements in battle by just pressing Y. o_o
I’m almost 10 hours in. Last I remembered.. I was on the stupid ship going to that Ixa’taka region. Jeeeez. When you encounter the tornadoes, the battle rate increases dramatically. And the battle encounter rate was actually DROPPED in the GameCube version. Perhaps they forgot to do that for the stupid trail to the Ixa’taka region? >_>
I don’t feel like continuing.
I actually feel like starting a new game, all of a sudden. Like Star Ocean 3 or Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked.
I MISS YOU, VESPERIA FOOTERS.
